About the Destination

Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa is located on Xuan Vien Street, Sapa District, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam.

Sapa has been becoming a major tourist destination of Northern Vietnam, a natural starting point for the unique experiences in the mountainous area, which includes the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, Indochina’s highest peak of Fansipan (3,143m) and 5 different hill-tribes, each one colourful, distinct, and with its own language and cultural values. Some of the villages, especially the more remote ones, are still largely untouched by modern ways of life.

The main attraction in Sapa is to visit the hill tribe’s villages. There are many unique opportunities to experience the hidden trails, breathtaking sceneries, unmixed culture and way of life.

Sapa is the attractive destination that you should visit when traveling in the North of Vietnam.

How to get there

Situated on a picturesque headland overlooking Fansipan Mountain and just a 5-minute walk to Sapa town, Victoria Sapa Resort & Spa is also within a 10-minute walk of all the must-sees, including the old Sapa Church and the town’s many restaurants and boutiques. Sapa itself is located in Lao Cai Province, 380 kilometers northwest of Hanoi, close to the Chinese border. A new expressway reduces the drive to just over 5 hours.

  • Driving in own car

It is possible to drive from Hanoi to Victoria Sapa Resort by your own car. You will take the new highway from Hanoi to Lao Cai, the resort just five minutes walking from the Sapa Town.

  • Arriving by train

From Hanoi to Lao Cai, Victoria Sapa offers guests an exclusive transportation option of ours, Victoria Express Train – an 8-hour overnight journey in a stylish two or four berth cabin.

From Lao Cai’s Train Station to Victoria Sapa Resort, our pick-up service can be provided upon request.

Our departure time as below:

  1. Hanoi to Lao Cai (SP3): Depart at 10:00 PM, arrive at 6:10 AM  (Daily, except Saturday)
  2. Lao Cai to Hanoi (SP4): Depart at 9:40 PM, arrive at 5:30 AM  (Daily, except Saturday)

Ta Van Restaurant

Ta Van Restaurant opens from 06.30 AM to 22.30 PM, offers all-day dining featuring international and Vietnamese favorites, highlighted by views of Mount Fansipan from floor-to-ceiling windows and a large central fireplace. High ceilings, vintage lighting, and wooden beams add to the lodge ambiance. In summer, there’s seating on the outdoor terrace with spectacular views of Mount Fansipan.

Enjoy traditional dances performed by H’mong and Thai minority dancers every Saturday night from 8:00 – 9:00 pm.

Ta Phin Bar

Named after a local Dao tribe, the Ta Fin Bar is ideal for relaxing after a day of trekking. Ta Fin recreates an authentic lodge ambiance especially with a roaring fire in the winter months and a glass of hot red wine mulled with Sapa spices. Ta Phin bar opens from 06.30 AM onwards, offers extensive drink menu includes Italian and Vietnamese coffees, digestives, spirits, wine and a large selection of cocktails. The French-inspired snack menu includes sweet crepes, apple tart with Britany caramel sauce as well as burger and Bistrot favorites.

The Victoria Spa occupies 2 floors and has 8 single and 4 double treatment rooms as well as an Exclusive Treatment room which includes a private sauna and a pine soaking tub.
