When is the best time to visit Puluong?

End of May and early June: It’s the time when the new crop begins. How enchanting is the terraced rice field filled with green color! And the weather is cool and pleasant in summer because it’s an off-the-beaten-track and lowland karst area and there are many tropical forests.

What should you prepare before going?

If you’re coming as an independent traveler, make sure to bring snacks for when the kitchen is closed, as well as games or a deck of cards to entertain yourself in the evenings. Or you can join games here, we offer darts and table foosball. The Retreat cleans the pool weekly and guests are advised to call to check with the hotel if the pool is cleaned before/during their stay if they are keen to use it. And tourists who’ve got sensitive skin shouldn’t stay long in the pool, you may get itchy due to its natural water.

No electricity during the certain hours: The Retreat seems to be a little short of electricity. There’s sometimes a blackout in the rooms during your stay.

Where to go in Puluong?

Puluong Nature Reserve: It’s the biggest nature reserve in northern Vietnam. There are forests on limestone with vegetation of bamboo shoots and bush. As its natural diversity, Puluong is the favorite choice for those who like adventures, conquering and discoveries. Standing on the highest peak in Puluong, you can observe the best view of the mountainous scenery.
