Thai Binh has great potential for tourism and is typical for the wet rice civilization of the northern delta. The province is directly affected by the economic development triangle and is in the major tourism centre of Hanoi – Haiphong – Quang Ninh. It is located near a number of provinces with tourism potential as Ninh Binh, Hanoi, Nam Dinh and Hung Yen.
The province has a dense system of rivers weaving their ways in large fields and prosperous village featuring the wet rice civilization of the Red River delta region. It famous traditional craft villages like Phuong La weaving village, Hoi sleeping mat village, Dong Xam silver carving village, An Long bronze casting village, Minh Lang embroidery village and Nguyen Xa cay cake.
Thai Binh has 53 km of long coastline, with five major estuaries, fine sand banks, dunes and coastal mangrove forests of Con Vanh and Con Den, which are attracting many visitors to study and go for holidays.
Thai Binh is a supernatural land with preeminent people. Many historical and cultural relics of the nations are preserved in the locality like the relic complex of the Tra dynasty and Keo pagoda. It is homeland of the Cheo (popular opera) singing and water puppetry. With unique tourism resources, Thai Binh is receiving the increasing number of visitors.
